If you do, they won’t stick very well or last very long. Our Highlighters adhere best to a very smooth surface like our protective card Sleeve. Our Sleeves were designed to work perfectly with our Highlighters. They may briefly stick on the vinyl covers but not for long. When used on our smooth Sleeve, the Highlighters will be reusable and washable for use over and over again. Our Highlighters are guaranteed for one year when used on our smooth protective card Sleeve. With regular washing and care, they should last even longer.
We do not advise it. The Highlighters will get dusty very quickly, lose their adhesiveness and they won’t stick very well or last very long. And they may not be washable afterwards. Our Highlighters adhere best to a very smooth surface like our protective card Sleeve. Our Sleeves were designed to work perfectly with our Highlighters. When used on our smooth Sleeve, the Highlighters will be reusable and washable for use over and over again. Yes! If you are using them on our smooth Sleeve, gently washing them will make them sticky again. Use a drop of the name brand “Blue” degreasing dish soap on your thumb and finger, create a lather and gently rub on either side of the Highlighter while rinsing under warm water. Gently pat dry with a lint free rag. They will be like new! Watch this video on Washing your Mah Jongg Highlighters.
Leave them FLAT on your protective card Sleeve and tri fold your card closed. Make sure the Highlighters are kept away from the creases of your card when tri folded closed. A crease in your Mah Jongg Highlighter will damage it and diminish its adhesiveness. Keep them FLAT.
Yes. Our uniquely designed protective card Sleeves have a 1″ flap on one end with a velcro dot to completely enclose and custom fit the card you want to protect. With this design and material it’s considered water resistant.
A: Our Small Sleeve fits the Standard (small) NMJL card (4″x 5 1/8″). Our Large Sleeve fits the Large NMJL card and the Large Siamese Mah Jongg® card. These two cards are different sizes. Each requires its own custom fit Sleeve.
Use our Sleeve year after year. It stays clear and never becomes cloudy or yellow.
